Hasan Abdal is a city & a subdivision in the of Attock District, Punjab, Pakistan. Hasan Abdal is located on the Grand Trunk Road built by Sher Shah Suuri. It is located about 40 km northwest of Rawalpindi/Islamabad. The city is named after a famous saint Hazrat Baba Hasan Abdal RA also known as Baba Wali Qandhari RA.
The famous Karakoram Highways starts from here which goes the the Northern Areas. It is a convenient halting point of Grand Trunk Road (G T Road) from where one can go to places like Abbotabad and Northern Areas, Peshawar, Taxila, Wah, Rawalpindi.
Another attraction of the city is the famous Gurdwara Sri Panja Sahib, one of the most sacred places of Sikhism. Thousands of Sikhs visit the Gurudwara on the eve of Besakhi every year.
The tomb of the Mughal Princess Lala Rukh is also located in Hassan Abdal.
